  • Bursar Hold Information - University policy requires that students be current in payment of all tuition and fees prior to registration for each academic term. Simon students who have a past-due balance will not be pre-registered for the next term. University policy also requires all students to submit a payment agreement prior to registration. If you have a past-due balance, you may settle your account with the Bursar's Office, 330 Meliora Hall, 585-275-3931.

Services

The Registrar's Office maintains the official academic record for all current and former students, publishes the undergraduate and graduate schedule of courses, assigns classrooms, produces the final exam schedule, conducts registration, records grades, ensures graduates have fulfilled requirements, verifies enrollment and degrees, provides unofficial transcripts, supplies data in support of the academic decision-making process, issues diplomas, and plans Commencement.

Register for classes online through the Student Information System (SIS) on Simon Exchange. For additional information, please refer to registration procedures.

Academic Policies and Procedures

Student Handbook 2015-2016 outlines academic policies and procedures. Note: changes to page 19 Date of Awarding Degrees. Students who complete requirements at the end of summer will have their degrees awarded on August 31. Students who complete requirements at the end of fall will have their degrees awarded December 31.

Bookstore/Textbooks

Student Information System (SIS) - Students may access the Student Information System through Simon Exchange to register for classes, view classes offered, check final grades, view registration history, submit address changes, and more. View sample Darden screens.

Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)

The University of Rochester complies fully with the provisions of the FERPA which governs access and release of information from student educational records. FERPA applies to all educational institutions receiving funds from the United States Department of Education.
